World Polo Championships 2017 Sydney

The World Polo Championship will be held from 21st – 29th October 2017 at Sydney Polo Club, Richmond NSW with gates opening from 9.30am daily. The 8 day festival and polo tournament will be jam packed with things to see and do for the family.

Spend the day watching a world-class game of polo* or keep the kids (even the big kids) entertained at the festival with a FREE jumping castle, field day games, face painting, a petting zoo, a display of vintage cars from car clubs and wide range of market stalls.

XI FIP World Polo Championship 2017 – The Polo Sports Bar 
The horses will be strong, fast and agile as they race up and down the field, ridden by the ablest Polo players from eight countries. If you prefer your animals with more drive, there will be jousting, or if you like more traditional entertainment Australian Olympic show jumpers will be competing.
The festival will bring together a showcase of artists from all over Australia to include works from school children, outdoor sculptors and an exhibition by internationally renowned official event artist Charles Billich. As you walk around the Village Marketplace, you will meet stilt walkers, sheep shearers, woodcarvers and many more.

The XI FIP World Polo Championship will begin with tournament favourites Argentina taking on the USA followed by the colourful Opening Ceremony on 21 October 2017

A cavalcade of entertainers and the equestrian athletes of all disciplines that will be competing at the Championship will take to the International Field, with the Australian national anthem to be performed by event ambassador Erin Holland.

Australia will then take on Spain in the afternoon game, followed by vaulting and jousting displays.

Celebrities and VIPs will enjoy the hospitality of The Chukka Club and The Polo Sports Bar presented by Pommery. Guests will be served Pommery champagne, Treasury Wine Estate, delicious canapes highlighting local produce and sweet treats from Adriano Zumbo.
